Minister: There are no problems with food reserves in Georgia
There are no problems with food supplies and basic necessities in Georgia at the moment. According to the press service of the Government of Georgia, at the meeting of the interdepartmental coordination council for the fight against coronavirus on May 5, Minister of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia Levan Davitashvili reported. According to him, the Ministry continues to monitor the agricultural markets operating in the country and introduce labour safety rules at these facilities. According to the Minister, at the moment there are those agrarian markets in the country that meet the sanitary and hygienic requirements and standards established by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Agriculture, developed to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Open agrarian markets in Georgia resumed work early last week, in the first phase of easing restrictions imposed to curb the coronavirus epidemic. As of May 5, there are 604 confirmed cases of coronavirus, 240 recovered and 9 dead in Georgia. Until 22 May, the country has a state of emergency.
