Czech Republic extends state of emergency due to coronavirus

In the Czech Republic, the state of emergency will be extended due to the coronavirus pandemic, previously introduced until April 30. The decision encouraged the Parliament of the country. The Czech government proposed to extend the special regime until 25 May, but the deputies, following hours of debate, voted to extend it only until 17 May, as the majority agreed that restrictive measures should begin as soon as possible to restore the country's economy. According to the latest data, almost 7.5 thousand cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in the Czech Republic, 223 patients have died and 2834 people have recovered. At the same time, in the last 24 hours 41 the country recorded only one new case of infection, which is the lowest figure in the last month and a half.
