UEFA hopes to end the European Cup of the current season until August 3


The draw of the Champions League and the League of Europe in the 2019-20 season should end no later than August 3. This was stated by the head of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Alexander Cheferin, the calciomercato.com reports. The President of the Union believes that the timing of the end of the season will be affected by the dynamics of the coronavirus epidemic. Cheferin noted that UEFA will make every effort to completely eliminate risk to health of athletes, judges and fans. When the pandemic recedes, European Cup matches can be held on the days of national championship games. Also in UEFA consider reduction of stages of the European Cup to one match. As the news agency reported on April 4, Cheferin declared that clubs of Belgium may lose a place in the European Cup for the next season, if do not finish in time the championship of the country.
