Adviser to the Head of Government of Kosovo explained Tachi's refusal to recognize Lajcak

The political adviser to the Head of Government of Kosovo, Albina Kurti, Elvis Hodja, commented on 27 May on the statement by Kosovo President Hashim Tachi that he did not intend to participate in the dialogue through the EU Special Representative for Dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo, Miroslav Lajcak. On his Facebook page, Hodja stated that the reason the President refused to participate in the Lajcak-brokered talks was the latter's refusal to consider a territorial exchange between Kosovo and Serbia, rather than the fact that his country (Slovakia) did not recognize Kosovo's independence. At the same time, Hodja stressed that the President is willing to cooperate with representatives of the Democratic League of Kosovo Isa Mustafa and the candidate for the post of Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, as they will easily sign any proposed agreement, even to the detriment of Kosovo's sovereignty.
