The night of sorrow: as the Aztecs defeated Cortez

30 June 1520 the Aztecs defeated the Spaniards at the walls of Tenochtitlan. It was one of the most famous battles of the conquest – the conquest of Mexico. Events went down in history as the Night of sadness. After the deaths of hundreds of conquistadors and their leader hernán cortés decided to erase the Aztec civilization from the face of the earth.
