A rally near the office of the oil and gas company took place in Tbilisi
A rally near the office of the oil and gas company Frontera Resources in Tbilisi on February 6 was held by former employees of the enterprise. This is reported by the TV channel Rusavi 2. Protesters told reporters that the company owed 84 workers wages for 11 months. The total amount of debt is more than 1 million lari (about $350 thousand). In addition, at the end of 2019, before the start of the New Year holidays, employees were dismissed from their jobs. Protesters demand to pay the salary they rely on and return to their jobs. It is worth noting that a number of members of the US Congress in January wrote letters to the Prime Minister of Georgia Georgy Gaharia demanding an end to the persecution of American companies and cited Frontera Resources as an example. Meanwhile, the Gas Corporation in Georgia is suing this company from the United States before the International Arbitration Court.
