South Korea has declared the highest level of threat in connection with coronavirus

The epidemiological threat level has been raised to the highest, fourth (red) level due to the threat of coronavirus spread in South Korea. This is reported on February 23 by the agency Rønhap, referring to the statement of the President of the country Moon Jae-in. The Head of State said that the next few days will be extremely important in the situation in the country due to the spread of coronavirus COVID-19. Moon Jae-in called on citizens to unite with local authorities, quarantine services and health authorities to counter the virus. According to the latest data, 556 people have already been diagnosed with coronavirus in South Korea, five patients have died, 18 people have recovered, and 6,039 others are on examination. Five days ago, the number of cases was only 31. The sharp increase in the number of cases is due to the religious sect of Sinchonji. One of the sect's adherents, a 61-year-old Korean, refused to undergo an analysis for coronavirus and attended the parish of the Church of Jesus cult Sinchonji. She was later diagnosed with coronavirus. Thus, the woman became a spread of the virus among the members of the sect. Currently, 9,336 persons in this sect are under quarantine. Earlier, the news agency reported a fourth death as a result of pneumonia caused by coronavirus in South Korea.
