In China, 60 police officers fell during the fight against coronavirus
The Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China reported 60 dead employees during the fight against the epidemic of the new coronavirus in the country, the agency Xinhua reported on April 4. Another 35 support police officers gave their lives while fighting the epidemic. Among all those killed, eight were from Hubei Province and were on the front lines of the infection fight. They tracked the infected and their close contacts, fought fraud and disruption. Hubei police officers and their support staff screened 13 million people for infection, conducted epidemiological research on more than 100,000 cases and assisted in transporting more than 80,000 patients. Twenty fallen police officers were awarded medals for bravery. Their families are now entitled to the support of the State.
