Nord Stream operator - 2 appealed the decision of the EU court

An appeal against the decision of the European Union court, which refused to consider the lawsuit against the Gas Directive in relation to Nord Stream 2, was filed by Nord Stream 2 AG, an operator of the gas pipeline. Amendments to the Gas Directive are illegal discrimination, the company's press service said. In this regard, on July 28, 2020, Nord Stream 2 appealed the decision of the EU Court of General Jurisdiction to the European Court. Recall that in May 2020, the European Court of General Jurisdiction rejected the lawsuit in which Nord Stream 2 AG argued that the Gas Directive is a violation of EU legal principles. The operator company believes that the restrictions of the updated EU Gas Directive should not apply to the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, since it fully meets its requirements.
