Microsoft removed the ability to disable Windows Defender in the Windows 10 operating system. This was announced on August 22 by PC Gamer magazine. This change was made to the fixed asset by the last update. At the same time, the publication notes that, according to the information published in the Microsoft documentation, the Windows Defender should voluntarily step aside if he finds that the user has installed a third-party antivirus program. Earlier, users could permanently disable Windows Defender by making changes to the registry. Now Microsoft said that this is an outdated parameter.
